Whole time workers and Margiis assembled from almost every corner of India to pay last respect to the mortal body of Acarya Shraddhananda Avadhuta, Rev. Purodha Pramukh, Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha (Central).
Floral tributes were offered by Central Board of Purodhas, Central Committee Members, Whole Time workers and the Margiis. The Guard of honour was given by the ASD/SD/GV volunteers. In a flower decked vehicle followed by the volunteers a caravan of around 25 vehicles including three buses of the Whole Time workers and the Margiis, started the journey from Marga Guru Nivasa, Hehal, Ranchi at 09.40 AM and reached Ananda Shiila, fifty Kilometers away from Ranchi (Master Unit) at 11.30 AM.
The funeral rites started in Prasiikshan Math campus, Ananda Shiila, Ranchi, where there was an arrangement for cremation, which started with Prabhat Samgiita (Dharma Amari Sathi Dharma Amari Prana…), Kiirtan, Dharma Cakra and Guru Puja. General guard of honour and mourning salute was given.
The funeral pyre was lit by Acarya Dhruvananda Avadhuta, (Secretary, Central Board of Purodhas) at 12.26 PM After collecting the last remains around 04.00 PM Central Workers left for the Camp Office, Ranchi.
Shraddhanjali will take place at Marga Guru Nivasa, Madhu Mainjusha, Hehal, Ranchi on 19th October 2008 which will start at 10 AM starting with three hrs. Kiirtan.
