DELHI SECTOR

Ranchi Region:

Hazaribag dit: on 8, 9tand 10th of August a seminar was organized at Ananda Marga School Hazaribag, A’c Pravedananda Avadhuta was the trainer. On the occasion special Narayan seva was organized 130 Narayan got benefited. Ac Himachal Prasad ex DIG Police distributed cloths to needy people 70 persons were benefited on the same occasion there were special classes for St. Columbus 212 collage students got initiations. Prabhat library was declared opened by A’c Himachal Prasad.

Patna Dio: 24 hrs Kiirtana was organized, 250 margiis attended.

Abha seva Sadan provides regular services at Patna Bihar sharif and Patna Baba Quarters at each place between 100-200 people are getting regular services.

Bhagalpur Dio.: As Bhagalpur and Saharsa Dio are in severe grip of flood havoc there are vigorous relief operation at Naugachia Narayanpur of Bhagalpur Diocese were cloths, rice products with molasses and medicines are regularly distributed.

Abha Seva Sadan regular service is given at Jamalpur Baba birth place, Nath Nagar, Murheri and Munger.

Ananda Marga Universal Team has taken up intensive relief program in flood effected area’s of Araria, Purnea, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul and Katihar District.

Under the guidance of A’c Ramananda Avadhut Central AMURT Secretary and operation incharge A’c Satyashrayananda Avadhuta Sectorial AMURT Secretary.

Darbhanga Diocese.

As the news received from Dio secretary A’c Ragashekharananda avt. a new school is opened at Madhubani were there is already Abha Seva Sadan is working.

Saharsa Dio:

In Saharsa and Araria Districts there were seminar at 16, 17 and 18th July allowing Akhand Kiirtan over 900 people attended and there were 50 initiations.

Bhopal Diocese:

The Students of Ananda Marga school Security line Bhopal participated in the cross country race of caramboard compitetion organized by Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd. Sport authority on 9th and 15th August our students reached up to quarter final stage. On 15th there was prize distributions.

Sagar Diocese:

Ananda Marga High school purchased a piece of land spending over Rs 50000.00. The construction work is likely to be completed spending about 2 lakhs Rupees.

Gwalior Diocese:

A Seminar was organized on 9 and 10th of August, 75 margiis attended.

Ujjain Diocese:

Ujjain Diocese organized a Renaissance Universal golden jubilee symposium at Ujjain on 14th Aug 2008 at Ambedkar hall free gunge Ujjain. Shri Bhanu pratap presided over the meeting shri Narayan singh was local MLA was chief guest. The guests of honor were shri PN surya wanshi jail magistrate, Shri MR Patel suptd. Of Jails Ujjain. 18 Jailors participated.

Allahabad Region

There was 2nd Diocese level seminar at Gorakhpur in Betia Hata Ananda Marga Campus. A’c Nabhatiitananda Avadhuta was the trainer. The margiis who attended the seminar got inspired.

At Faizabad A’c Raganugananda Avadhuta address three collages organized by A’c Pranaveshvarananda Avadhuta the D.S Faizabad. The local station Akashvani faizabad broadcasted the speech.

Chandigarh Region

Jammu&Kashmir Circle

The foundation laying ceremony of Ananda Marga School of Kashore Doda District of Kathua Diocese was done by Diocese Secretary A’c Mokshesh Brc. There was Akhanda Kiirtana and Narayan Seva on the occasion.

!st Dio level seminar was held at Doda A’c priyatoshananda Avadhuta was the official trainer. 150 Margiis attended. There was Akhanda kiirtana, Narayana Seva which was covered by media.

Ludhiana Diocese: Ananda Marga school Ludhiana organized the independent day celebration of 15th of Aug under the presidentship of A’c Raganugananda Avadhuta, the chief guest was Ram Charitra Yadav, President Manav Sevadal Ludhiana there was cultural program including patriotic songs, Dance and Drama, about three hundred guardians attended.

Akhanda Kiirtana was organized at Jalandhar in the house of Shri Rajendernath.

A’c Rudrananda Avadhuta Address the gathering after the kiirtan was over.

Jaipur Region
Second Diocese level seminar was organized at Jaipur on 2nd and 3rd August A’c Rudrananda Avadhuta addressed the seminar. He also addressed the coaching institute students at Vaishali Nagar Jaipur were all the student and staff members are being taught meditation and Asana by A’c Kalyanmitrananda Avadhuta, the D.S Jaipur.

At Udaipur there was medical camp on 6th and 13th of August Dr. S.K Verma was the Doctor incharge 78 Patient were examined.

Banglore Region

Amurt Distributed fruits to Old age people at vishvadham old age center Mysore 25 people got benefited on 15th Aug 2008. Weekly medical camp is giving regular services at Banglore Aananda Marga Ashram. Dr Rajgopalan is the doctor incharge.

Kalikata Region

In Tata Nagar Dio there were two narayan Seva program 175 needy person were given services.

21 decimal land was registered in the name of AMPS in Tata Nagar city.

On Shravanii purnima day that is on 16th of Aug. 10 Sariis were distribute to the old needy women.

Bhuvaneshvar Dio

One new school was opened at Konark puri district by A’c Gopimohan Brc. With 15 students.

10 new students were admitted in Bhuvaneshwar Ananda Marga school.

One RM was ceremonized at Baripada Dio 10 more students were newly started school

Flood Relief

AMURT extended relief to the flood victims of Svarna Rekha, Jalka, and Buddhi Balanga were nearly 1200000 peoples were marooned and affected. Local papers covered the News.

Kalikata Circle:

A new district Murshidabad was covered by public meeting as a result 5 new persons were initiated. RS Kalikata A’c Navarunananda is working tirelessly to materialized the mission in the region..

DACA REGION

There was a large scale symposium organized in Daca on last Ananda Purnima day about 4000 people attended 32 people were initiated .

Regular Medical camp was organized in various places like Daca, Narsende, Rangpur etc.

There is flood relief operation also in the region.

Hong Kong Sector

Retreat was organized in syberia. 150 people attended the program most of them were new persons.

Classes were given by Dadas Shubhaniryasananda, Dyutimaya, Yogananda, Sudhakar, Dhiirendra, Vijitatmananda, Didi’s Ananda Gunamrtam and Tattvaveda, and Brother Amit.

There was a 3 and 6 hours Akhanda Kiirta were organized.

Tandava and Kaoshikii competitions were conducted.

The marriage of Brother Amrtdeva from Barnaul and Arunapriya from Novosibirsk was conducted.

There was one RAWA night and two nights of Kata Kiirtan.

12 sisters and 2 brothers were initiated.

Manila Sector

30 leaders from Samaj National assembly representing nationwide (Lezon, Visayas, Mindanao, Iloilo, made in Pampanga under the leadership of A’c Devapriyananda Avadhuta. 2 local news papers of Iloilo covered the news of Samaj movement against coal minining
A’c Mitrabuddhyananda Avadhuta Addressed 9 Tattva Sabha beniffiting 250 people.
A’c Caitanyananda avadhuta is managing 3 schools in Maidan in Indonesia. With morethan 3 thousand students.
A’c Ratnadevanada Avadhuta addressed the university of Iloilo 80 students were benefited. Following the cyclone in Iloilo rice was distributed to 60 families, medical camp benifting 100 people

Amurt continues to distribute food the victims of Burma 3580 families got benefited spending US$15000 receiving money from the different corners of the world
Ac vitragananda avadhut organized one medical camp in Sungai bulyh A’c Sankarshananda avadhuta managed to get included two qualified Yoga teachers of Ananda marga to be included for counseling to sports authority of Singapore. He also raised 13thousand Dollars for Myanmar.
The news receiving through Parivratananda Avadhuta, the departments of student affairs counseling guiding and service invited us to deliver talk on holistic way of leaving in different parts of Utar university in KL and Selango.
A’c Sevavrata Brc was interviewed by world destiny TV Channel he also organized a massfeeding program in Malabon benefiting 70 people also donated 19 books to library so that the Ananda Marga book will be available for public reading.

Timarn Training center will complete within two month of two trainees within this month.
German Margiis meet every month to develop training center they do kiirtan for three hrs every Saturday every month.
A’c Karunamaya brc RS Stockholm got a new jagrti inaugurated in Stockholm after two month of hardwork.
There was a Sadhana Shivir 30 margii attended.
A consumers food cooperative is planed to be started the legal farmalitiy are being completed.
For Burma cyclone relief Sweden AMURT has collected Euro 4000 and send for the puropose.
Stockholm RAWA and AMURT committee have been formed.
Rawa Sartorial conference will be held in Stockholm this year.
In Finland brother Shantatma has been organizing lectures in different parts of the country.
The Unit in Brighton (London) is being activated as several margii booked away.
4 brothers from London are in LFT Training.
A Rawa weekend musical festivel was held in Portland England. The performers included. Several Margiis and professional (Non-margiis). The fastival included the world premier of onefilm.
AMURT with the help of public have raised three thousand pounds for relief work in west Africa.
A’c Devavratananda reports from Roma Region, Kiirtana prakrima covering major city of Italy was organized. Good public and media respond. This is done every year. This year organized in Ananda Vipasa Master Unit. We got good respose for Sicilia, Roma, Bologna. The out come was 8 initiation and donatin of 1135 Euros.
A’c Gatimayananda Avadhuta RU/RAWA secy. Berlin sector gave lecture in Jyvaskula in Finland which was organized by Katriina(Ph.D in psychology). The topic instinct intellect and intuition and Mind grows in Magnitute. Being inspired the scholars learns Asana’s kirtan and Meditation.
Didi Ananda Udaya has sent one LFT.
Didi Ananda Prama organized one work camp with volunteer service international coming form canary island for ecological week.
Didi Annapurna organized a social forum two margiis were interviewed.
Didi Ananda Harimaya A’c organized a 3 weeks camp in which 9 sisters were attended.
Two A.M Books were printed in Spanish.
Didi Ananda Jyotishir organized PROUT study circle 11 people attended.

NEW YORK SECTOR
After The Summer Retreat in Ananda Kanan several activities have taken place in New York Sector:

Prabhat Samgiit celebration in Vermont was attended by nearly 50 people. Like every year Ac. Cirasmita organized the Prabhat Samgiit celebration with the trainers Arun and Ainjali from Texas. The acaryas participating enjoyed the blissful flow besides the practical learning.

Shravani Purnima program. New Bhukti promoted a new program on the occasion of the occurrence of Shravani Purnima, first initiation of Shrii Shrii Ananda murti. The program was designed to encourage new people to get initiation and start on the spiritual path.

Akhanda kiirtan are organized regularly and attended by local margi in different Unit in the Sector. Among them Washington DC, New York and Los Altos Hills where a new pracar effort is on the way to bring more young people to Ananda Marga. The program is phase wise and have several retreats planned till the end of the year. Margi from the Bay area are participating actively in it.

In Haiti the work of Dada Gopalakrsnananda is on going. After a successful fund raising tout in the Eastern USA, Dada could return with a considerable capital to continue construction work in the AMSAI school. His capacity to document the expenditures and visually report the advancement of the activities have greatly favored the success of his project.

In Ananda Kanan the training of two LFT’s/volunteers has been concluded. Trainers were Dada Shuddhatmananda and Dada Rudraprakashananda. The trainees enjoyed working in the blissful atmosphere of Ananda Kanan besides training in the various aspects of Ananda Marga.

Didi Ananda Mamata and Dada Vimaleshananda are in the process of training one sister and two brothers as LFT and PKB. The training is taking place in Guatemala City giving opportunity to those who cannot come to USA or are Spanish speaking. They are also helping in the construction and improvement work taking place in the different projects of Ananda Marga in Guatemala.

I spent most of the month of June in Ananda Kanan preparing for the summer retreat and teaching yoga classes in West Plains, Missouri. During the month the region was active, with many different activities in the units

News from the Albany Unit
Most Albany unit margiis are students and when the school year ends, they join their families. The remaining few margiis try to hold weekly Dharma cakra. Dada Viveka and 4 – 5 others continue in regular attendance.

News from White Plains
Dada Gunamaya and Nirainjana will both be presenters at the youth organized Climate Confluence scheduled for the end of July at a picturesque Methodist retreat center just outside of New Paltz. This five day gathering is a chance to network with folks about an alternative economic model, regional self-sufficiency, and working together to help heal our planet. We are looking for margiis to join us so that we can infuse this progressive gathering with our collective positive vibrations. If you are planning to attend, please e-mail nirainjana.

Nirainjana and Dinesh are purchasing their first home, a town house in the city of White Plains. Margiis and acaryas are welcome to attend the house warming on Saturday, July 26th at 6:30 PM. (postponed-new date TBA) Come learn about the history of the hill where our home was built, the farmland of the Weckquaeskeck people, members of the Mohican nation, and also the Stoney Hill Cemetery where the earliest freed slaves are buried and Horton’s Mill, where George Washington stored ammunition during the American Revolution’s Battle of White Plains in October, 1776. News from the Boston units
The Boston margiis were inspired by the visit of Dada Pranesh who gave a presentation on the Haiti projects and shared his views:

“I just want to share the news from my visit to Boston to make contacts to help Haiti. The Haitian margiis, especially brother Keval Kumar and Vishvanáth arranged everything, by Bábá’s Grace, and we had a few successful programs and created good contacts for future cooperation.

“We gave two public presentations at a French speaking Masonic lodge in Boston which is composed of practically only Haitian members. The lodge members were very inspired with the work of AMURT Haiti and donated US$ 660 on the spot. Some specifically requested their money to go for teachers’ salaries while others gave a general donation. This is just the beginning. They have committed to keep helping us regularly through both cash collections and in-kind donations every three months or so. They will also personally encourage their friends in the USA and Haiti to get in touch with us for possible partnerships and support. Margiis from Boston will follow the guidance of Dada Gunamayaji and other acaryas coming to the region. Two of those present at the presentations are coming to Haiti this summer and have offered us places to stay in the country and help in organizing Ananda Marga activities. If we are able to have a monthly newsletter to propagate our good news to the Haitian community in this region much cooperation can unfold. “We also made contacts to be followed up at the MIT D-Lab (a department concerned with designing technologies specifically for developing countries) and the International Institute for Justice and Development, which has so far focused in helping many countries of Africa but whose members are happy to secure presence also in Haiti. Some public libraries, schools and individuals have also taken some of our materials to post on boards, online and to talk about AMURT Haiti with those interested in helping.

“Had I prepared better and coordinated beforehand with the margiis in the region we could have reached more people and presented more materials to all. But it was a good experience and great to learn a few lessons, such as, for example, the capacity of the intention of serving to pass through any door or institution and find attention and space, even if just a little, in any busy office. While getting in touch with so many contacts, it was so inspiring to see how every single person had demonstrated interest to learn more about AMURT/EL in Haiti and to help in whichever way they could, even if just for that moment. Following up with them will be a pleasure and hopefully some of you can join and enjoy as well!

News from the Westborough / Chelmsford Unit
The regular Dharma cakra brings satsaunga among the margiis every Sunday at 4:30 PM, with seven margiis and six children enjoying His bliss.

News from the Green Mountain State: Vermont
We held a unit meeting to discuss dharma pracar and service in our locale and identify steps we can take to expand/improve in these areas. The meditation class at the library in Montpelier ended in early June and many positive evaluations and comments were received by the instructor and the library. Fall classes are in the planning stages. Collections for Myanmar relief and weekly dharmacakras are continuing. We have been enjoying visits from out-of-state/country margiis and look forward to seeing more of our sisters and brothers at the Prabhat Samgiita retreat the first weekend in August. News from the Show Me State: Missouri

After arriving in the Garden of Bliss prior to the retreat, I had the opportunity to teach four yoga classes in West Plains, Missouri. This was good experience for me as most of the students were older and made it a challenging experience for me. I had to adjust most of the postures according to the capabilities of the students, who needed much guidance as you can see in the pictures.

Nairobi.
The health of A’c Akshrananda avt. SS Nairobi is improving fast. Now he is able to walk with the help of Walker.

The Construction of children’s home in Mountview, Mombassa school building, and Tanzania dispensary is in progress.
Ananda Marga School Uganda children organized a RAWA program. 2000 people attended
A retreat was organized in Ghana 300 people attended.

George Town
Argentina:
A retreat was organized in Anadna mayadeep Korodoba , 65 people attended 15 people were initiated.

Buenos Aires. AMURT volunteer collected 18 kilos clothing for children and sent to Oran for distribution to needy Families.

San Juan
A’c Ramashrayananda Avadhuta San Jaun was intervied by TV on Yoga and culture.

45 senior citizens visited master Unit attended lecture program , heathy food. The Master Unit has 24 cows. The Neo-humanist school of Master unit declared the best school of the Region.

Master unit organized a tournament creating interest for the football in the local community.
