GOOD NEWS REPORT FROM JAPAN, HONG KONG SECTOR
22nd-23rd Nov 2009
The autumn Kansai retreat was held in Senkozi Temple located in Nara district. Although we have had used this place twice previously about three years ago, it is still very appealing. It is located in a natural environment in a forest and it has a very warm and peaceful ambience.
A total of twenty-eight participants including seven Taiwanese-guest margiis, a child and three acaryas attended the retreat. We all arrived at the place at mid morning and quickly got organized had collective kiirtan and meditation. There were the welcoming speeches from our the acaryas present; SS Dada Shubhaniiryasananda and Japan acaryas Dada Vijitatmananda and Didi Sarvajina’, and the organizing team member Turiiya-san, and followed by a brief introduction to ourselves.
After lunch, we had a class on meditation, cakras, kosas – a friendly guide on how to improve your meditation using the tools from our Beloved Baba. Following that our three hours Akhanda Kiirtan, then sadhana and Baba’s video. Luckily with the guitar players from Taiwan, we had enough players. It was blissful.

We also celebrated marriage of Manisha and Cinmaya, and Chanda’s birthday during dinner time with extra cookies and cakes. After dinner, we had philosophy games planned by Dada Vijitatmananda, which was educational and enjoyable. The evening ended with sharing of memorable Baba’s stories from devotees.
The second day started with collective Paincajanya of course. The margiis also had a asana conducted by brother Mukunda-san. Following that our collective kiirtan and sadhana. After breakfast, we had a little walk around the 1300-year old temple. After that the margiis were put to the test by Dada V’s philosophical quiz again. They were divided into 3 groups and had to answer and comment questions on Ananda Sutram, Neo-humanism, Sentiments, Bhagavat Dharma, PROUT & Guru Sakash. Both old margiis and new comers gave very impressive answers.
Collective kiirtan and meditation followed after the quiz. We had our last meal together and followed by a closing speech from everyone present.
